Hello friends! We’re Jake & Jenny and our very own Wanderlust started together in 2015 when we met each other for the first time in Santa Cruz, Ca. We fell madly in love and started our journey through life together and our road leading us here to Southern Oregon to open Wanderlust Vineyard. But first here’s a little backstory of our adventure and what brought us here. Invigorated with our mutual love of wine and travel we embarked upon journey after incredible journey tasting and wanderlusting our way around the world. During these adventures we discovered that not only did we love wine but the entire process that went into making this magical juice. Jake decided to enroll in the UC Davis enology and viticulture program and then we were on our way! Initially our compass was pointed towards the Fingerlakes region of Upstate NY. Jake’s family had an incredible farm there and the beauty of the East Coast allured us with all it’s greenery and incredible Riesling wine. However, after much thought we knew we wouldn’t be able to grow the Rhone varietals that were so dear to our hearts. Sadly we had to say goodbye to our East Coast dreams and focus on our beloved West Coast. After realizing our dreams would be tough in our home state of California we decided to embark to the PNW and absolutely fell in love with Southern Oregon’s Applegate Valley. The moment we stepped foot onto our property we knew we were home. No question about it, this place was pure magic. So here we are, and Wanderlust was born on a 12 acre piece of heaven right in the middle of Applegate Wine country. We hope that our guests get that same feeling of Wanderlust that we felt while traveling to beautiful places. Wanderlust may not lead you in the direction that you had planned , but will take you exactly where you’re meant to be.
